well here i am again. just got off the line and i must say... it is the "same old same old"10 again. we got a crummy offer from the hospital, made a counter proposal which was refused by management. and here we are again...... waiting.
i just dont see what is to wait for. i know that just about everyone is over the strike and everyone wants to go back to work or wants the workers back... depending what side you are on. but somehow nothing happens.
the really good thing for me is the people i have met on the line. today talked with jamie and reina(sp?). reina and jamie are wonderful people , whom i never would have met if it werent for the strike. and if i had met them it would have been brief and there would not have been the chatting and socializing and talking with one another that goes on now. and that is just one of many wonderful friendships i have made on the line. reina came in to the lines with a cast on... she had broken a finger and was still on the line. if you ask me that is commitmant. and there is a lot of commitmant out here. there is a lot of solidarity. there is a lot of strength. i see it every day on the line and am glad to be a part of it.
heres hoping that this will all end soon and that we are all back to work. sutter...be reasonable and just say yes. you will have to sooner or later...WHY NOT NOW!!!!
